Outdoor activities in London

January 12, 2018

Do you want a family day out without having to travel to the other side of England? Living in London can be difficult. Between rush hour traffic and the thousands of tourists that flood in for sightseeing purposes it can be hard to find a peaceful location for a family day out. When we’re lucky enough to be graced with good weather we want to get the family together for some fun outdoor activities, but what can we do? Adventure Experience have a mixture of fun outdoor activities suited to children of all age groups, and adults too!

Adventure Golf

Adventure golf is a great outdoor activity for the entire family. It’s good fun for everyone involved, from experienced golfers to complete beginners. You can get super competitive, tallying everyone’s goes on our score sheets or just play each hole as it comes. All of our mini golf courses are themed and child friendly, and you may even be lucky enough to meet one of our mascots around the park. We currently run four adventure golf courses on the outskirts of London, these are:

Dinosaur Safari – One of our dinosaur themed crazy golf courses located in Hertfordshire. Families can visit in groups of up to six in each team, and tackle each of the themed holes. The park is dog friendly, wheelchair friendly and pushchair friendly too!

Dinosaur Escape – The second of our dinosaur themed mini golf courses is located in Northolt, London. The West London Golf Centre Coffee Shop offers a licensed bar and a wide range of snacks and drinks that you can eat and drink on the course between holes.

Jurassic Falls – The final of our dinosaur themed adventure golf courses is based in Chingford, London. A range of hot drink, soft drinks, bottled water, slush puppies and ice creams are available. A favorite for families, friends and couples alike, it’s an ideal place to have some fun in the sun.

Pirate Cove – Based in Kent, Pirate Cove is the first of our pirate-themed crazy golf sites. Being located in the busy Bluewater shopping center has it benefits, with a huge range of food options and facilities right at your fingertips.

High Ropes Adventure

Alongside Jurassic Falls in London we run the UK’s largest city-based “sky trail”. Altitude Adventure Sky Trail is set over two stories and allows customers to test their bravery with a range of jumps, climbs and challenges to confront throughout the course. For safety purposes children under 1 meter tall can’t participate, and children between 1m – 1.2m tall must be accompanied by an appropriate adult should they wish to attempt the course. Other than this, anyone who’s brave enough is welcome to give the course a go. It’s great fun for children and adults of all ages, and might just be the adrenaline rush you were looking for.

Electric Boats

If you want more than just an exciting adventure golf experience, head over to Pirate Cove and try out our new GoGo Pirate Boats! Up to four people can travel in each of our electric powered GoGo boats for half an hour period across the lake. Use the easy to control joystick to control the boat and have a family cruise, enjoying the sites along the way.

Mini Quad Safari

Young explorers can discover a thrilling adventure with one of our new features at Jurassic Falls. Race around our jungle, navigating around our course surrounded by tropical planting. Our mini quads are easy to operate with a single pedal, meaning young children can confidently enjoy their experience. There are a range of animal-inspired mini quads to choose from and parent can spectate from outside the enclosed race area.
